Steven Simpkins It has been a long, uphill road to recreate my dreams and aspirations. When I enrolled at Highline Community College at the age of 40, my goal was simply to begin taking prerequisites in order to enter a nursing program. Of course, like most students, that has changed several times over the course of 4 quarters. At present my goal is to obtain a double Masters in Nursing and Public health taking a health care and population health research track. At the same time I started school, I began volunteering my services at Highline Medical Center in the Emergency Room to give myself a taste of what I was looking to build my life around. After more than a year, I am quite sure I have found a niche in Health Services. <<more>>
